It will be an extension of its flagship research center, the LifeNet Health Institute of Regenerative Medicine, located at the company’s headquarters in Virginia Beach, Va.

LIFENET HEALTH SUCCESSFULLY DEFENDS PATENT, WINS $34.7M VERDICT

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA, NOVEMBER 19 - A Virginia federal jury awarded LifeNet Health® $34.7 million in damages on Tuesday for LifeCell® Corp.’s infringement of a LifeNet Health patent related to improving the preservation of tissue grafts, and rejected LifeCell’s assertions that the patent was invalid. LifeNet Health’s patent relates to enabling tissue grafts to be “ready to use” and stored at room temperature while maintaining normal texture and lowering the chance of graft failure.
